Kevin Ross Hardy, M.D., FACEP, FUHM is Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine, Division of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He has served as attending physician in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine since 1994, where he has supervised more than 30,000 treatments. He also is attending physician at Penn Wound Care. He holds board certification in both Emergency Medicine, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, both through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).

Dr. Hardy is Program Director for the ACGME accredited Fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, Penn Medicine. He has lectured locally, regionally and internationally. He has served on several committees of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Association (UHMS) including the Board of Directors, and also as Chair of the Hyperbaric Medicine Section of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He is currently in his eighteenth year of service to the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Subcommittee, which writes the subspecialty board certification exam authorized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). He is certified as a Diving Medical Examiner and is a medical consultant to Divers Alert Network (DAN).

Dr. Hardy was educated at Muhlenberg College and Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College). He was trained as a resident in Emergency Medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware (now Christiana Care) and completed a fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He served his country as an emergency physician and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Major and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal.
