Dr. Elizabeth Genovese is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and is the Director of the Penn Advanced Limb Preservation Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Genovese graduated from the University of Notre Dame, attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Genovese specializes in advanced open and complex endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, particularly chronic limb threatening ischemia. She currently serves as the Chair of the SUPRA INGUINAL and INFRA INGUINAL BYPASS VQI modules, the Director of the SVS Complex Peripheral Vascular Interventions Course, the Chair of the VESS Research Consortium and continues to participated in multiple local, regional and national societal committees. Her research focuses on healthcare disparities in peripheral arterial disease detection, treatment and outcomes, along with integration of new technology to streamline treatment algorithms and improve outcomes with complex endovascular therapies for peripheral arterial disease.
